Sr. Rose's journey came to end on Sunday February 17, 2019 at 6:05 pm in the loving care of her community of Dominican Sisters at Sparkill. Heaven now welcomes home a good and faithful servant. Let us thank God for the gift of Sr. Rose and her 37 years of service to Sacred Heart Parish as our Director of Religious Education. Her presence is still felt in so many powerful ways especially in the hearts of the thousands of children who have been under her care these many years. We would like to honor a wish of Sister Rose, namely, to install a handicap ramp in front of the school in memory of her brother John. Please click the link above for more information.
If you are available and able to get to Sacred Heart in the event of a snowstorm, we could always use a hand shoveling us out here! Just give us a call at (845) 782-8510 or (845) 238-0767 or just show-up with a shovel or snowblower! Thank you in advance!
Consecration to Jesus through Mary. St. Louis de Montfort provided us with a wonderful way to deepen our union with the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Join us this Lent for a 33 day home/parish retreat beginning on February 20th. Booklets are provided at no cost so you can read the daily meditations over the 33 days. Videos and a supplemental participant's guide are also available at FORMED.ORG. Please click on the link above for more information. Special (optional) orientation on SATURDAY FEBRUARY 16th is being offered 9:45 am Saturday morning in the St. Theresa Room of the Parish Center.
As many of you know, just before Christmas we learned of Father George Pulparayil's passing on October 1st of 2018 in his home country of India. We will celebrate a Mass in his memory and in thanksgiving to God for the gift of this faithful and humble priest who served us here for over fourteen years here at Sacred Heart Parish.
